Hello,

Today disqus Removed, In Bulk, 1 Month Of My Most Recent Comments Across Several Websites - No Explanation, Whatsoever.

The Attitude I Display When Posting Here And On disqus Are No Different.

I Tried To Contact The Site, But I Do Not Know If I Succeeded - Burying Links Across Multiple Pages Usually Is Not A Good Sign.

Does Anyone Know Of Some Similar Prior Situations ?

That's really strange, all services (usually) have it's own Terms of Use / Service: https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/466260-terms-of-service

Are you sure that they don't have some technical problem(s), hack or something else... maybe that's reason for disappearing posts?

I Only Know Your Comment System Here And On F1CHAT, No Problems Whatsoever, And I Can Say Now, The Better One I Know - Please, Do Not Change It, Ever.

Others I Know And Have Used In The Past:

livefyre - The Comment Formatting Is A Mess,

fb - No Standardization, The Constant Need To Click To Read More Comments Drives Me Crazy,

disqus - The Best One Until Now, But Too Much Concentration Power Leads To Situations Like This One - So Sad,

I Know And Use A Couple More, But I Do Not Remember Their Names.

To Clarify:

My Comments Were Not Removed From My Wall, They Were Marked Removed And Deleted From Public Conversations.

Why Only 1 Month And Not All Of Them - A Disgruntled Moderator ?

disqus Says The Moderation Is Up To The Sites Themselves, And Not To disqus Itself As A Service.

However, My Last Comments Were On A disqus Page Announcing New Features On Their Comment System.

Anyway, I Totally Deleted My Account And I Will Create Another One If The Need Arises.

The Same With fb - They Never Convinced Me And I Created And Deleted Several Accounts In The Past - Now, I Use It 99,9% Only To Comment Somewhere Else.

Don't worry, there will be no changes in the basic concept.

If (when) We ever implement "this", that will be only as the improvement of services.

Well, a month ago Disqus did have problems and took really long to load, to the point it went to timeout 90% of the time. Maybe they are experiencing an issue again, this time with posts, or maybe the moderators in that page decided to hide certain responses.

The Site I Use The Most That Has disqus Is RACER, Mainly Because Of F1.

I Use The Site Every Single Day, And I Did Not See Any Loading Problems With disqus Since They Upgraded Many Many Many Months Ago.

Instead Of Commenting, For The Time Being, I Will Only Read Others Comments There, Now.

By Default, disqus Allows Anonymous Comments ( AC ).

It Is Up To The Site, Using disqus, To Allow ( AC ), Or Not.

A - My User Name,

B - Someone Else Random User Name,

C - Site Using The disqus Comment System,

D - disqus ( A ) Profile,

E - disqus ( B ) Profile.

While Using ( A ), disqus Has A Bug That Lets Me Enter Comments As ( B ) On ( C ).

I Can See Those Same Comments, Either On ( C ), Or On ( E ), But Not On ( D ).

I Can, Also, Edit Or Delete Those Same Comments On ( C ), But Not On ( E ).

The Total Number Of Comments, Both On ( C ) And On ( E ) Is **Totally** Screwed, Too.

It Is The Second Time That This Happens With Me - The First Time Was Many Months Ago.
