I have been using McAfee in addition to Spybot and Ad-Aware. McAfee seems to keep the viruses away but the spyware is for the others. Not sure I have had the opportunity to try out the McAfee Spyware stuff.

I recommend SUPERAntiSpyware. It's free from www.superantispyware.com. The program is very effective and won't require much system resources. You can also run it in tandem with a good anti-virus program such as ESET NOD32.

I agree with you Mike, SUPERAntiSpyware is one of my favorite Apps. Very powerful weapon in combat with Malware...

I use both Windows defender and McAfee antispyware enterprice.
Both are excellant..never allowed a spyware or adware into my system since I installed them in my system.
Peace of mind....
