I've recently installed Outlook 2013 on a W7 machine.

The first time I ran scanpst.exe took it took a long time and reported errors.

I've run scanpst.exe repeatedly since. While it completes the scan far quicker, it always reports errors.

Suggestions, experts, please

Hi Theo and Welcome to SCF Community.

Kindly check these option(s) provided by Office:

"If your Microsoft Outlook Data File (.pst and .ost) won’t open or you suspect that the data file is damaged, use the Inbox Repair tool (Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. The Inbox Repair tool checks the Outlook Data Files on your computer to see if they're in good shape."

Let us know if you need additional help. ;)
