Can't access Legacy BIOS in Windows 10
« on: 17. September 2016., 07:53:09 »
After updating to Windows 10 Pro [Anniversary Update], I needed to access BIOS on my Desktop. I have done this many times without any problem in Windows 7 Pro. Now, when I repeat-press DEL key on Start-up, nothing happens and the PC hangs.Has anybody faced this problem and solved it?

That's mostly your desktop ging too quickly... tell Windows to restart so it doen't quick boot, that should give you extra seconds. If that fails, disconnect the HDD so you are sure to enter bios upon booting. You can also keep DEL pressed on startup :p

As Soon As You Power On Your Computer, Keep The F8 Key Fully Depressed And See What Happens.

Cheers.

Instead Of Removing The HDD, Try Removing The Keyboard First, And Then Power On The Computer Without It.

Cheers.

1. Remove Keyboard and Power On >>> Windows 10 starts up.
2. Remove Keyboard + Mouse and Power On >>> Windows 10 starts up.
What was the basis of this advice?

I think he's trying to check if disconnecting the keybord and adding it later, then restarting might make a difference. From my point of view, the most effetive method will be to disconnect the HDD, so you force the PC into the bios, there you can add a POST Delay, save, power off, reconnect the HDD and power on and enter the bios again

The **Basis** For Removing The HDD And/Or The Keyboard Is The Same - Trying To Force The System To An Early Stop After It Recognizes An Hardware Error Made On Purpose.

This Was Evident On Computers From A Few Years Ago, And A Famous Joke Against M$ ( I Guess You Are Too Young To Have Known It ):

**Keyboard Error - Press F1 To Continue**

Can You Guess The Joke ?
