My wife was in the hospital for a couple weeks because of a major surgery, so I had some time to kill while I was with her in ICU and in the recovery room. Something I've always had a desire to do was make games. I have a little hobby programming background in C++ and Java, but nothing professional. While in the hospital, I found a great place to start (re)learning how to start developing for Android for free. There are quite a few courses for every level of skill. You'll have to create a free account to take the courses, but they are great, free, and practical. It's called UDACITY, and to see what they offer, head to
https://www.udacity.com/courses/android and get started.
