Interesting Facts About Antivirus
« on: 14. November 2019., 12:12:13 »
Facts about Antivirus talk about the history of antivirus. People often call it AV.  The main function is to remove, detect and prevent malicious software. This anti-malware software should be installed in your computer or laptop to make sure that the computer viruses are detected and removed. It can protect the computer from any threat.

Here are other Interesting facts about antivirus for you:
1. Antivirus Software Works Based On What It Knows
New viruses, spyware, rootkits, and other forms of malware come out all the time. Sometimes they’re discovered quickly, other times not so much. Some forms of malware are set up like a ticking time-bomb, they lay dormant until the user performs a certain action. Other malware only serves as a minor nuisance and may not even be noticed right away. Different types are contracted in different ways, and each type has its own unique actions. Some types will even morph or mutate to avoid being caught and removed.
2. There Isn’t an Antivirus Software That’s 100% Effective
This may not be what you wanted to hear, but it is true. Antivirus vendors are always looking for ways to improve their software and stay ahead of a virus, however, new viruses come out all the time making it impossible for antivirus providers to tackle every single one immediately. Yes, it’s true that antivirus software is better than none, however, you will not find a program that is 100% effective.
3. The Modern Antivirus Software
You can install the latest modern antivirus software to make sure that your computer is protected. The computer is protected from Trojan horses, keyloggers, malicious Browser Helper Objects, malicious LSPs, spyware, adware, fraud tools, worms, rootkits, backdoors, and rootkits.
4. The First Known Computer Virus
In 1971, the first known computer virus appeared.  At that time, people called it the Creeper Virus. Digital Equipment Corporation’s (DEC) a PDP-10 mainframe computer that ran TENEX operating system was infected by the Creeper Virus. Ray Tomlinson created a program called The Reaper to delete the virus.
5. The Reaper
There are some people who consider that the first antivirus ever wrote was the Reaper. But actually the Reaper was a virus. It was designed and written to delete the Creeper Virus.
6.methods of antivirus engine
There are several ways to detect and identify the malware using the antivirus engine. They include sandbox detection, behavioral-based detection, heuristic-based detection, data mining technique, and signature-based detection.
Some Malware Can Disable Your Antivirus Software
Even with the best antivirus software, updated constantly and using heuristics, something could still slip past. That something could potentially disable any installed antivirus software.
Antivirus software often has defenses against this, but if a virus is written well enough, it could still work. Some of the free antivirus software may be more vulnerable to being shut down as well.
Another common feature of many different viruses and other malware is a browser hijacker. When a web browser is hijacked, the virus or other malicious program is in control (full or partial).  What this means for the person trying to use the browser is they will only be able to go to limited websites of their choosing.
7. Antivirus Software Can Interfere With Other Programs
Antivirus software often interferes with other programs, based on the aggressive way that antivirus software functions (to protect a computer as well as itself). Multiple antivirus and antispyware programs can be used, but often not simultaneously without them interfering with each other.
Most programs can run just fine alongside antivirus or antispyware software. However, sometimes a completely unrelated program will have difficulty running and the solution is to disable the antivirus program. Some software installs also require first disabling any antivirus software.

Conclusion
All in all, even the best computer security software has its vulnerabilities and cannot protect your PC against everything that comes it's a way. While reputable software will block a large proportion of the malware running on your system, do not expect one to be 100% effective.
Keep in mind that you get what you pay for so if you’re utilizing a free antivirus program, you will have limited features and will most likely be missing out on real-time protection. The best advice we can give you is to make an informed choice about the antivirus software you decide to invest in. With the rise of technological advancements, online threats are increasing at an alarming rate.
Finding an antivirus program that suits your needs is not difficult if you keep these 7 facts in mind. To download antivirus online and receive the best antivirus for your money, we recommend doing thorough research and choosing the one that looks best suited for your needs.

I have one almost safe, still not 100% safe, but one of the best ever.
The detection rate is about 98% of all viruses and malwares!
I am very pleased with this anti-virus program.
