I already have built-in (came w/ Win7) WindowsDefender on my laptop.
Is this different from one which I have? How would I know?

thanks

I like the GPO and event log aspect... does anyone sue this with S&D and malwarebytes passive?

Yes it is the best way but let the vse 8.8 instalation remove it then it just disable the part and reinsall (activte) defender when you uninsall McAfee for some reason. Ther is not recomended to use dubble instalations of protection of the same kind because ther can go in conflict with eatch other and also thay give a huge performence impact of the onaccess scaners because thay scan eatch other and everything twice.
Their is two easy way to configure a system!
Every thing open and every thing closed.
Every thing else is more or less complex.
