What are the 3 types of hackers?
« on: 14. December 2020., 05:13:04 »
The term hacker is inherently misused and not fully understood. Whenever people hear the word hacker, they immediately imagine a stereotypical film from the 1980s where hackers are bad criminals who plot against society and the government. In fact, a hacker is a very skilled computer user who destroys and evades computer systems to force them to do it accidentally. Hackers themselves are not illegal unless they have malicious intentions and try to breach protections and exploit system vulnerabilities without permission.

The hacker type classification comes from old western cowboy movies where good guys usually wear white hats and bad guys wear black hats. For example, hackers are classified metaphorically based on their hat. There are 3 types of hackers.

Black hat hacker type - unethical

Black Hackers are computer geeks who discover vulnerabilities in Internet security and deliberately destroy them for their own gain. They are motivated by a sense of power (such as infecting a computer with ransomware and then asking for money to open it) and petty revenge (some hackers target companies they don't like and exploit their vulnerabilities they intrude or just shut down companies) for their reckless reasons).

Grey Hat type of Hackers – Confused

Gray hat hackers are less skilled than black hat or white hat combinations of the two types of hackers. These types of hackers often like petty crime-loving technologies like P2P file sharing and software hacking. They report their results to the company / organization. If owners don't respond or refuse to pay, they can post information about system flaws in online forums for the world to see.

White hat hacker type - Ethical

White hat hackers use their skills for a good and legitimate purpose, which is why they are a contrasting personality of the black hat. They are usually employees or hired contractors hired by companies to test for vulnerabilities in their security systems. This type of ethical hacker simulates attacks by impersonating malicious users or black hats and helps identify vulnerabilities and how they can enhance security measures.

Ehirehacker is the best platform to provide the service of Hackers for Hire.Ethical hacking is increasingly being used as a preventative measure to ensure that malicious hackers cannot successfully access computer systems. Continuous penetration tests and Red Team-Blue team exercises are conducted by the company to analyze and identify vulnerabilities and increase the security of their systems before Black Hats can use them.
