Horrible full format speeds on nvme disk

Anyone here ever did a full format on an nvme disk? At first, the speeds are awesome and then, after about 20% of the 3.8TB is formatted, write performance drops significantly to 1MB and hardly ever gets back above SATA 2 speeds. I tested 2 disks now :| @ADATATechnology xpg spectrix S40G
