But that patch 4 file is encrypted and dose not help me now.

el 8.7 trae mejorado el rendimiento frente al 8.5

eso es lo que he experimentado, ya que trabajo el mcafee desde hace rato. ahora estoy en busca de el patch 4. pliss. por favor.

8.7I seems to be very simular to 8.5I ( setup rules wise ) , of course it runs on Windows 7 and make sure that you apply Patch 4.  That made a significant difference in processor cycles especially when the engine and/or Dat us being updated

i've found out that 8.7i use less resources than 8.5i.
just installed it at celeron 1,8 Ghz (400 fsb) with 512mb of ram and 64mb graphic adapter (yes! very old model of computer) and it run smoothly, not like the 8.5i (with patch 6). is it because the 8.5i's patch that pretty old or because the new engine that makes the 8.7i feel 'faster'? i dont really know.
im using xp sp3 as operating system.

i used 8.7i and 8.5i with old and new computers and manage them by EPO 4.5
there are different OS ... NT 2000 XP 2003 ... in my network.
I  like McAfee..
