Hi Brian,
this is great and very helpful guide.

Also, I have few (small) suggestions:

1. more recommended Free AV's, for example: AVG, Avira, Panda... you have them in SCF's AV area (with "reviews" from SCF members): http://scforum.info/index.php/board,10.0.html

2. more recommended AV Online Scanners for double check, here is SCforum's list: http://scforum.info/index.php/topic,734.0.html

3. addition of "Microsoft's Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool" in "Removal Process" (or somewhere else), here is SCforum's list of good Virus removal tools: http://scforum.info/index.php/topic,4510.0.html

4. additional advice to users, how is important to keep Windows (and other operating systems) updated with latest patches, hot-fixes...

For the end, it'll be very nice from you to include "SCforum.info - Security [CENTRAL] Forum": http://scforum.info in your "Useful Resources" page: http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/useful-security-resources and to recommend SCforum's "PC Help Center": http://scforum.info/index.php/board,16.0.html in your "Get Expert Analysis" area: http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/malware-removal-guide#forums

Hope these suggestions will help you... ??

Best Regards,

Samker

P.S.

In the next few minutes I'll change your SCF membership to VIP and will add your site to SCF's Link Directory: http://scforum.info/index.php?action=links;cat=1 ;)

Hi everyone,

Recently, I've been getting questions about my recent update (particularly the part about removing SuperAntiSpyware). I would like share the reasons why I removed SAS.

I removed SuperAntiSpyware for the following main reasons:

1. SuperAntiSpyware has the lowest malware detection rates compared to Malwarebytes and HitmanPro.
2. The fact that HitmanPro uses 4 antivirus engines to detect malware.
3. Malwarebytes and HitmanPro provide adequate malware removal when used together.

SuperAntiSpyware is still an excellent product, and I will definitely keep an eye on it.  :)

hmmm... I must to said that I don't agree, but it's your site.  :-\

SAS have a lot of useful additional tools, for example "Repair broken Internet Connections" etc.
Also, I'm little bit suspicious about different "research" tests, depending who arrange them and because of what??

Of course, that is only my opinion. ;)

P.S.

Here is also one related SCforum's Topic "The Best AntiSpyWare": http://scforum.info/index.php/topic,102.0.html

Probably, this question is for me?

Here you have "Who's Who at SCF?, an Explanation of Member Groups": http://scforum.info/index.php/board,2.0.html

Related to part about "ads", please use Feedback area for all kind of comments (positive-negative): http://scforum.info/index.php/board,3.0.html
In any case, We'll do our best to provide even better service at SCforum. ;)

P.S.

Brian, so sorry for Off-Topic.
