Fast Whois - coming soon on BitsDuJour

You can already testdrive it here: http://www.iconico.com/download.aspx?app=fastWhoIs

Copy-Paste from BdJ:
"With Fast WhoIs, you can automate the process of gathering contact information for an entire list of domains, quickly and easily. Just feed your list of domain names into Fast WhoIs, and let the program do your research for you, or let Fast WhoIs run in the background as you do your work. When it's done, all of the contact information, including names, email, and postal addresses, is conveniently saved to a file or to multiple files based on domain.

Fast WhoIs also makes it easy to acquire a domain name from any URL. Just select which domains you want to look for, select the URL in which to look, and press "start". The resulting domains can then be added to the queue and queried against all available Whois servers!".

Enjoy already and... Peace!

Devvie

only one way to find out ; )

But basicly, it still is just a whois tool. But for mass-domain lookups. And convenient for just one domain too :)

The first line on that page; "Have you ever had a long list of websites that you needed to get contact details for?"

My answer; Not really. In the 15 yrs I've worked in the pri/sec community as well as being an IT consultant, contractor, and service provider, I rarely find myself focused on more than one domain at a time...even when researching multiple domains belonging to the same entity.

:) now I still don't know who you are! :(
A bit OT:
The advent of 'Domains By Proxy' once had some concerned that it would hinder 'take downs'. In fact, the majority are still very simple. Generally speaking, all that is usually needed is; advising the host with proof of a breach in their AUP. Finding the host or finding the host's host is easy. :)

BTW SCF and I are neighbors...as most of my appliances also reside on Softlayer racks. :)
