You have not teeled us what type of drive you have. Manufactor and drive type. Many of the large manufactors have lowlevel test available for ther drive so you can test the drive in deept. That ofen also have firmware update for common problem on ther drives. Have you looked in this?But to get the right tool and firmware you need serch for your drive typ number.You have tool s like this example.
