Do you guys predict DTC will die off? Personally, I think not with the recent development. Unless the devs decide to dissapear and quit working on this project, which I hope not, I believe DTC has a long road ahead of it and could become top 10

This coin has been out for only ~3months.

This coin is actually useful, and not just a value transfer currency.

The price at this point is low, because major exchanges haven't accepted DTC yet. (only bter has some DTC liquidity) and that exhange has what? 1k users?

Somebody brave should a DTC <-> USD/EUR exchange only.

Hopefully more developers will look into DTC and start developing new uploading services. Its very hard to spread new ideas, when people yet don't understand them.

The reason why the other alter-coins are so sucessful is because they are a bitcoin clone and once people understand bitcoin they understand alt-coins which means better acceptance.

Datacoin is not meme-based, celebrety-based, stupid name-based. Maybe thats the real reason why its not popular. o.O

If you want to get data from the blockchain, take note of the transaction ID of the data and go to the Get data function on the website, for example : c60f6173aa6c4dce76bf48a75cbadc29c1bd85a3c5b349a469cea7c135ea09a8

If you want to send data (128K max) you need funds for the datacoin fee (0.05 per kilobyte plus 0.06 service fee per download), in order to fund your account, go to Account information and take note of your address, then go to the Datacoin client and just send some funds to that new address.

Create direct download links for a transaction ID.

This way you can share the data with anyone with just a single click in a link. This feature is free at the moment.

Browse and download the files stored by others on the blockchain.

I'd LOVE to put all my wallets in the Datablock chain! But what happens if krypte.net goes offline??

You see... Datacoin is here to stay, but it's for the LONG term PATIENT onces... First, all other coins really need to be accepted in daily life, only for DTC to come alive and truly offer something other than trading ;p
