Have you ever used this version - McAfee VSE?

No, I used McAfee in earlier days of my computing life and after that never used it nor ever recommended the same to anyone along with Norton. Been a part of tech support industry for 4+ years, I have seen most of the infected computers using M & N only.

I refer Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Zonealarm & Eset instead of them though I am in process of transferring to Linux.

I would skip that, Samker.

Jheysen, I installed it once or twice for 5 minutes and 5 weeks and did not like it that much . As per experience, I have seen that its better than McAfee and Norton. Though the experience can be different for different people.

When Intel purchased McAfee, I thought they would improve it but the process of improvement is still going on. Anyhow, I thought you guys were referring to Enterprise version of it for all those years. I did not know you guys are using the home version of it, again different likes for different people.

I meant to say for servers by Enterprise. Ok, so they have different version for client and server like other vendors but could you let me know what about the database? Does an enterprise version and a home version have different malware database? A malware developed for Windows 10 won't work on Server 2012?

McAfee uses the same database (DAT Files) for all it's products, at least in the AV segment.
And most likely a malware developed for Win10 will work on older versions too...
